Welcome to the Ryde SES Website
The NSW State Emergency
Service is the most versatile and widely used rescue
and public safety organisation in New South Wales.
Almost 10,000 volunteers are always ready to assist their community during a
wide range of emergencies.
The headquarters of the NSW SES is located in Wollongong with a further
17 Region Headquarters located across the state.
There are more than 230 Volunteer Units around metropolitan and regional
NSW, supported by their local councils.
The SES aims to keep people safe and minimise the risks to life and property
when emergencies occur.
Our volunteers are fully trained in many skills relevant to
search and rescue, operations management, logistics, community education and
intelligence.
